Living Coastal

Imagine starting from scratch, with a complete renovation of your home. The only structural elements that must stay are the stairs leading to the second floor. As I imagined it, the floor plan went from closed off and cluttered, to wide open with a cohesive flow. The entire floor was reworked and thoughtfully designed from start to finish. A coastal feel was the desired outcome, with a monochromatic palette that left you feeling soothed and renewed, just like the ocean. Various tones of blue and grey make up the palette, while rattan and driftwood help to provide warmth. Various textures added in provided a sense of coziness, and plants rounded it out (as they always do).
